The United States has achieved 150 GW of operating wind capacity (onshore and offshore), with wind now representing 11.5% of national electricity generation. Onshore wind dominates deployment, with major projects across Texas, Great Plains, and Rocky Mountain regions. Emerging offshore wind capacity in Atlantic and Pacific regions is beginning to contribute significantly. Wind energy continues to provide one of the lowest cost electricity options, attracting substantial private investment.
