Capwatt has announced the completion of all nine biogas plants across Portugal that were contracted with Anaergia in 2025. The fully operational portfolio now processes over 400,000 tonnes of agricultural and municipal organic waste annually, converting it into renewable energy and bio-fertilizers. Combined capacity exceeds 22 MW, making it one of Southern Europe's largest coordinated biogas networks. Strong operational performance and support from EU renewable energy directives have positioned the portfolio for expansion into additional Southern European markets.
