Maas Energy Works has reported that its renewable natural gas facility interconnected with PG&E is exceeding production targets, processing dairy and agricultural waste from multiple farming operations in California's Central Valley. The facility has expanded to serve 50+ dairy farms and is now producing sufficient RNG to offset natural gas consumption equivalent to 8,500 homes annually. Enhanced feedstock aggregation and improved biodigestion processes have increased production efficiency by 18% compared to initial projections. The success validates the farm-cooperative model for distributed agricultural biogas development.
