Veolia Expands District Heating Networks Across Europe

Veolia has announced expansion of its district heating networks across Europe, powered by waste-to-energy facilities in six countries. The expanded networks now deliver low-carbon heat to over 800,000 residential and commercial customers, reducing fossil fuel heating consumption by millions of tonnes annually. New interconnections and efficiency upgrades have improved network performance and enabled supply of heat to previously unserved communities. The expansion aligns with EU heating decarbonization directives and demonstrates waste heat utilization as a key enabler of Europe's climate targets.
